Millennium Concrete Technologies (Private) Limited is an established leader and a pioneer in modern advanced concrete technology, with more than 25 years of experience in the development and manufacture of advanced concrete admixtures and construction chemical solutions.

Since our establishment in 2001, we have grown from Sri Lanka’s first concrete admixture manufacturer into a mature, vertically integrated technology company that continues to set benchmarks for performance, reliability and technical service within the construction industry.

Our strength lies in our ability to innovate across the manufacturing process. Through the development and manufacture of our own raw materials, including advanced polycarboxylic ether technologies, we have progressively built greater control over product chemistry, quality and performance. This vertical integration has empowered us to have ultra fine control over our manufacturing process - thereby enabling us to fuilfil a diverse array of customer needs with exceptional consistency.

Our products and technologies have become part of some of the most significant construction projects undertaken across South Asia. From landmark high-rise developments that define modern skylines, to major bridges, expressways, dams, hospitals and large-scale infrastructure projects. Our approach to innovation goes beyond simply formulating products. We study the interaction between cement, aggregates, mineral additives, water and chemical admixtures, using advanced material chemistry, laboratory investigation and extensive field experience to develop solutions for the increasingly demanding requirements of modern construction. This commitment to research has resulted in unique and highly regarded products, including advanced high-performance admixtures and polycarboxylic ether technologies.

Our products are developed and tested against rigorous international standards, with quality and consistency monitored throughout the manufacturing process. Supported by modern production systems, advanced technology and a highly experienced technical team, MCT maintains a level of control that allows our products to perform consistently across demanding construction environments.

Ravi Nissanka is an industrialist, researcher, innovator and technologist with expertise across numerous applications. Over the past 30 years, he has made significant contributions to transforming Sri Lanka’s traditional concrete industry into an advanced field driven by High Performance Concrete Technology. He has pioneered numerous technologies in high-performance concrete, concrete repair systems and the application of polymers in construction.

He has played a pivotal role in making structural waterproofing, industrial flooring, grouting and other construction chemical applications widely accepted within the construction industry in Sri Lanka. He was also the first to introduce engineering specifications for these areas.

Among his key milestones was the commissioning of Sri Lanka’s first admixture manufacturing facility in 2003. This facility went on to become the first to export locally manufactured admixtures to overseas markets. Other significant achievements include commissioning the first PCE mother liquor manufacturing plant and developing the technology through his research and development team.

Since 1994, Ravi has been engaged full-time in developing solutions to address a wide range of industry needs. Under his guidance and supervision, more than 10,000 concrete mix trials have been conducted in laboratory and field settings, with approximately 6,000 trial datasets available for analysis.

Through his own research, Ravi has identified how changes in raw material properties influence the behaviour of the end product. His research encompasses cement, fine and coarse aggregates, water, chemical admixtures such as lignosulphonate-based admixtures, polynaphthalene sulphonate and polycarboxylic ether (PCE), as well as mineral admixtures such as fly ash, bottom ash, silica fume and blast furnace slag.

The diverse and evolving needs of the construction industry, shaped by climatic and weather conditions, fluctuations in supply quality, the country’s economic circumstances, sociocultural practices, urban infrastructure and established professional practices, have provided the context for developing his extensive expertise. His ability to understand and respond to these varied requirements has contributed to his depth of knowledge and practical experience in the field.
